Mark Sherman of Woodland Builders was the timber frame artisan and lead builder for this project. Using a traditional method of timber framing, each timber was hand planed and the structure was joined with wood pegs. Mark and Kyle Campbell provided expertise and artistic inspiration to complement the materials and systems used in our home. The douglas fir timbers were purchased from Duluth Timber Company and were primarily reclaimed from the Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant (TCAAP) in New Brighton, MN.
